Labour ComplianceThe Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) (BoPTER) on July 14, 2026, issued a notification regarding changes in the NATS Portal Workflow for Apprenticeship Enrolment.

The following has been stated: -

•The Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) has notified changes to the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal workflow to strengthen data authentication and streamline apprenticeship enrolment. 

•Students with active PM Internship Scheme (PMIS) contracts will not be permitted to enrol under NATS, while Aadhaar-based e-KYC and APAAR ID updates have been made mandatory for all candidates. 

•Establishments using the bulk data upload facility must ensure apprentices complete the prescribed verification process before Contracts of Apprenticeship (CoA) are generated. 

•The revised process aims to improve compliance, data accuracy, and the efficiency of apprenticeship contract generation.
